Bio

Dr. Anthony Gador is a General Internal Medicine specialist and Clinical Instructor at St. Paul’s Hospital, where his practice focuses on the intersection of diagnostic complexity, rare diseases, and acute care medicine. As the Physician Lead for the Providence Undiagnosed and Rare Conditions Clinic (PURCC), Dr. Gador oversees a specialized multidisciplinary group designed to address the “diagnostic odyssey” faced by patients with undefined multisystemic conditions. His work emphasizes coordinating the approach to diagnostic uncertainty and leveraging advances in genetic sequencing to improve care for diagnostically undifferentiated populations.

In addition to his focus on rare diseases, Dr. Gador is an Attending Physician on the Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) and the Rapid Access Specialist Clinic. A dedicated medical educator, he has received multiple awards for his contributions to the UBC Department of Medicine, including the Shelly Naiman Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching and the Fay R. Dirks Award.
