Bio
Dr. Dau practices full time at St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH) as General Internist on the Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) and Thrombosis Specialist in both outpatient and inpatient capacities. He is Clinical Instructor in the Department of Medicine at UBC.
He completed his MD undergraduate degree and core internal medicine residency at UBC. As part of his general internal medicine fellowship, he completed one year of training in thrombosis medicine at UBC and the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Dau has a particular interest in medical education. He is the current education lead for the postgraduate SPH Thrombosis Rotation. He also spearheaded the design of the UBC Thrombosis Medicine Fellowship clinical training program, which is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and is the acting Program Director of the program.
He also has a particular interest in anticoagulant management of pregnant women with mechanical heart valves and was involved in the design of a hospital-wide algorithm for multidisciplinary management of these patients.
