Bio

Dr. Chow is a general internist and palliative care consultant who practices at Vancouver General Hospital. He completed his internal medicine training at UBC, where he served as Chief Medical Resident at St. Paul’s Hospital. In addition to his fellowship in General Internal Medicine, he completed a year of added competency in specialty palliative care, and is dual certified in both fields.

Dr. Chow is passionate about teaching medical trainees on the Clinical Teaching Unit at Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital, where he works as an attending physician. In addition to the broad scope of general medicine, his clinical focus is on the integration of early palliative care in complex internal medicine patients. He is actively engaged in resident curriculum development on the use of serious illness conversations and spearheads the simulations for medical trainees.
