Bio
Dr. Jonathan Williams is a General Internal Medicine specialist and UBC Clinical Instructor at Royal Columbian Hospital. He practices full scope Internal Medicine working on the Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU), the inpatient perioperative medicine consultation service (PROACT), and the outpatient Rapid Access Internal Medicine Clinic (IMOC). He also works at Vancouver General Hospital on the inpatient perioperative medicine consultation service (IMPCT).
Dr. Williams completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Western University, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at the University of British Columbia and fellowship in General Internal Medicine at the University of Calgary. During his fellowship, he completed additional training in Perioperative Medicine completing the Perioperative Vascular Medicine Training Program at McMaster University and University of British Columbia.
Dr. Williams has a strong focus on perioperative medicine and medical education. He is actively involved in training the next generation of physicians while providing comprehensive care to his patients. His clinical and academic interests center on optimizing perioperative care, quality improvement and advancing patient-focused internal medicine.
When he isn’t working, he enjoys traveling, hiking and exploring different cuisines.
