Bio
Dr. Jian Weng completed her undergraduate studies, medical school, Core Internal Medicine residency, and General Internal Medicine fellowship at the University of British Columbia. She has been mentored by Dr. Nadia Khan and Dr. Karen Tran, with a clinical and academic focus on metabolic syndrome, including the management of hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity.
Dr. Weng currently practices at St. Paul’s Hospital in the Vascular Medicine, Hypertension, and General Internal Medicine clinics. She is also involved in the Vancouver General Hospital Hypertension Clinic, CARES, and the MSI Teaching Clinic. She is a Clinical Instructor in the UBC Division of General Internal Medicine. In addition to her outpatient practice, she works as an inpatient attending on the Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) at both Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital.
Her research interests include hypertension and primary aldosteronism, and she is currently completing the Practice-based Learning and Quality Improvement (PLQI) program.
