Bio
Brian Kim is a General Internal Medicine (GIM) specialist based in Vancouver, BC. He maintains a mixed inpatient and outpatient clinical practice primarily situated at VGH, and part time at Providence Health (SPH and MSJ). He is dedicated to providing holistic care for patients living with complex medical co-morbidities. He established the GIM Oncology Clinic wherein he provides comprehensive review and optimization of acute and chronic medical conditions for patients undergoing oncologic (cancer) treatment.
Dr. Kim completed his undergraduate studies and medical school training at the University of Toronto; followed by core Internal Medicine residency and GIM fellowship at the University of British Columbia. He subsequently completed the Clinical Educator Fellowship at the Centre for Health Education Scholarship (CHES) at UBC and is completing a Master of Health Profession Education (MHPE) at Maastricht University.
Dr. Kim has a strong focus in medical education. He serves as the VGH Discipline Specific Site Lead and oversees the assessment of medical students who are completing their internal medicine training at VGH. HIs medical education research explores the interpretation and navigation of written feedback from the learner’s perspective.
