Bio

Trudy Nasmith is a General Internist with an interest in the health of vulnerable populations. She completed her Masters of Science in Global Health at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Nasmith spends most of her time on the Clinical Teaching Unit of St. Paul’s Hospital, with additional time spent providing outreach clinics for the Downtown Eastside as well as small northern BC communities. She will also be supervising UBC Internal Medicine residents in Gulu, Uganda. Her current research is exploring the factors associated with patients who leave hospital against medical advice in order to develop interventions that may mitigate the adverse outcomes associated with this population.
