Bio

Dr. Doering completed his MD at the University of Manitoba, followed by core internal medicine residency training at UBC. He completed his general internal medicine fellowship at UBC and undertook additional specialized training in thrombosis medicine through the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Doering is a clinical instructor in UBC’s Division of General Internal Medicine. He practices at St. Paul’s Hospital as a general internist on the Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) and as a thrombosis specialist in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He also attends on CTU at Royal Columbian Hospital. In addition, he is involved in the UBC Global Health Program and has supervised internal medicine residents in Rwanda.

Research

Dr. Doering’s research interests lie in the field of thrombosis medicine, including the prevention of cancer-associated thrombosis.
