Kevin Eva receives award for contributions to medical education

Congratulations to Dr. Kevin Eva, who has received the 2020 Ian Hart Award for Distinguished Contribution to Medical Education from the Canadian Association of Medical Education (CAME)!

This award, established in 1992 in honour of the founder of CAME, recognizes senior faculty members who have made significant contribution to medical education.

“I’m very appreciative of this recognition because it provides me a further reminder of just how fortunate I’ve been throughout my career to have stumbled into a field rife with supportive, constructive, and inspiring colleagues,” said Dr. Eva.

“Canada leads the world in health professional education scholarship as a result of the dedication, talent, and ingenuity of a great many people in our department and beyond. I’m exceptionally proud to be affiliated with such a great community and to play whatever role I can to help fulfill the Centre for Health Education Scholarship’s vision of ‘Promoting health through education scholarship.'”

Dr. Eva will receive his award at a cocktail reception in Vancouver on Monday, April 20, during the Canadian Conference on Medical Education. Well done!
